Community Update – Brasted Patrol Activity |
||
|
ResidentWhilst on mobile patrol in the Brasted area, myself and PC Watson following reports regarding a white Vauxhall vehicle that had seen better days. Had discovered the vehicle in a bad conditions with the belief to have been stolen to prevent and further loss we had seized this in the hope the owner comes forward.
During this time, we spoke with several local residents who raised concerns about a number of abandoned vehicles in the area. Shortly afterwards, we received a call from a local farmer reporting a vehicle that appeared out of place. Officers attended and identified the vehicle as a Land Rover that had been reported stolen the previous morning. The vehicle has now been recovered and arrangements made for its return, with the owner updated Whilst awaiting recovery of the land rover, PC WATSON and I also observed a vehicle being driven without valid insurance. The driver was dealt with accordingly and the vehicle was seized.
This is a great example of how community information and proactive patrol work together to achieve positive results. We would like to thank residents for continuing to report concerns and support local policing.
If you have any concerns or information regarding vehicles or suspicious activity in your area, please continue to report via 101 or online.
